Classes available:

Puppy Playschool

For puppies between approximately 9 and 16 weeks. Informal drop-in weekly class with the chance to discuss normal puppy issues like Play-biting, House training, and Socialisation, advice on toys and equipment plus a chance for puppies to be handled by different people and learn how to greet other puppies in a calm manner. Basic training including Sit, Down and Come.

The class aims to offer a calm, stress free environment for the very young puppy. First vaccination must be completed and please follow veterinary advice.

Junior Class

Set course for puppies under 6 months at start of course. Introduction to Clicker Training, Sit and Down stays, Coming to call, walking on lead, greeting other dogs and people correctly, Handling and Socialisation, leaving food and rubbish alone. Course must be booked in advance. Rosette and certificate at end of course.

Adolescent Survival

An intermediate level class for teenage dogs. Clicker training. Extending basic training, coping with distractions and attention building exercises. Retrieving and giving up articles. General good manners. Send to bed. Simple tricks, mini agility. Regular tests with rosettes and Certificates.

Adult Beginner

Set six week course for dogs over 6 months with no previous training. Uses of Clicker training, pulling on lead, coming to call, short stays, food snatching, not jumping up, not pushing through doors, attention building exercises. Rosettes and Certificates at end of course. Dogs must be reasonably friendly with other dogs and people to attend a class. Please ring to discuss any possible aggression problems before coming to class.

Follow on Intermediate class similar to Adolescent class.

Brain Games for Dogs

Once a month, Sunday class. A fun relaxed two hour class where dogs get to use their brains and noses to work with puzzle toys to find treats and toys. Retrieve and scent games, mini agility, fun competitions. Dogs must be sociable and used to working in a class environment, and have reasonable basic training. Handlers should be open to using clicker training techniques to help their dog problem solve.

Pet Sitting

Dogs taken into a home environment to live with our own dogs for day visits, weekends or holidays. Individual daily walks, safe enclosed garden, full insurance.

Young puppies especially welcome with training and socialising given. Home from home environment.

Special diets and medication not a problem.

Peace and quiet for the elderly dog with no boisterous large dogs or children to cope with.

Only one dog taken at a time unless by special arrangement, such as two from same household.

All breeds considered but Sight hounds ensured a special greeting from my three Whippets.

Small caged animals also taken.
